Part of an ongoing series exploring geometric shapes, this work examines what happens when hexagons are cut apart and reassembled from their individual pieces. Hand-pieced using English paper piecing, the composition explores the relationships between color, shape, and pattern. By breaking apart and reconfiguring the same geometric shape, the work finds new possibilities in its structure.
